Originally released in 1976 and now back on vinyl, 'Cocktail Bar' was the first release by the Modern Sound Quartet. This Italian group was masterminded by Oscar Rocchi, an obscure yet brilliant composer of library music. The 14 songs on the LP bring an incredibly fresh mixture of sounds and flavours. Each track is named after a different alcoholic beverage ('Gin', 'Kirsch', 'Rum', Vodka', 'Whiskey', 'Pernod'...) and floats around in a different soundscape with its own atmosphere. This edition is limited to 500 copies.
